Fair Play is complicated!

Managing a household with a partner is tough even on good days.

The Fair Play system is a godsend, but implementing the system can be complicated too!

And if you have ADHD

Conflicting schedules with your partner

Complex family medical needs

And/or

Difficulty managing the day-to-day as it is

The system can seem impossible.

In this workshop, you will learn Fair Play modification strategies to help you create a more equitable division of labor in your home right away -- even if life has felt too overwhelming already.

You will learn how to:

01

Slow down the process

Learn hacks and workarounds that slow down the Fair Play process in order to build trust and accountability, and counterintuitively speed up results.

02

Leverage your strengths

Your partner taking on cooking for the family is not the same as them taking on all school communication, which is not the same as them buying all the birthday presents.

Learn what you and your partner should delegate *first* to gain momentum.

03

Stop avoiding feedback to your partner

After reading Fair Play, did you try to institute a "house meeting" with your partner every week, but found yourself cancelling it every time?

Learn how to set yourself up for success in giving and receiving feedback from your partner, instead of avoiding it.

Why am I offering this workshop?

Hi, I'm May (pronounced "My"), and I'm a Leadership Coach and Certified Fair Play Facilitator.

As part of a neurodivergent couple who became a Fair Play family in 2019, I've adapted the Fair Play method in my own partnership to work with my husband's and my difficulties with executive function and day-to-day motivation.

After becoming a Fair Play Facilitator in 2021 and coaching countless individuals and couples on creating an equitable home life, I've "seen it all" when it comes to couples getting derailed from implementing Fair Play.

Through this work, as well as my 7 years as a leadership coach, I've collected a strong arsenal of techniques to help couples who feel "all over the place" (like I do!) implement Fair Play and create an equitable division of labor in their home. I now want to share this learning with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Fair Play?

Fair Play is a system, developed by Eve Rodsky, designed to help parents manage their household and parenting tasks fairly, in a way that meets their needs.

What is the cost of the workshop?

$50

I want to create a more equitable division of labor in my home, but I haven't read Fair Play! Can I still attend the workshop?

Yes. The workshop will include a quick overview of the Fair Play system, and then present techniques to use to gain momentum right away. You can join even if you haven't read the book.

Is this workshop open to people of all genders? And is it trans-inclusive?

Yes and yes.

Is this workshop only appropriate for two-income households?

No. All parents deserve to enjoy their lives -- whether they do paid labor or not. Parents are welcome to join whether they are in the paid workforce or not.

Will a recording of the workshop be provided to all participants?

Yes.

Is this workshop appropriate for single parents, parents in different coparenting situations (deployments, divorce), and LGBTQ+ parents?

The workshop centers on communication tools to use with a parenting partner, and sometimes uses heteronormative language.

Parents in different coparenting situations, and LGBTQ+ parents can get a lot out of the workshop.

For single, solo, and/or divorced parents, I only recommend this workshop if you are in close collaboration with a parenting partner at this time.

What else will I receive as a participant in this workshop?

In addition to learning how to have effective conversations with your partner about your domestic and parenting life, you will also receive a printable version of the Fair Play cards and worksheets that can be useful in facilitating such conversations.
